The health information technology effort to move medical records into an electronic format has just received a huge financial boost. The New England Institute of Technology (NEIT), with Quality Partners of Rhode Island as a key partner, will receive a $2.8 million grant from the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), for a workforce-training program that will enhance the state’s effort to implement electronic health records.
